How AdvertisingML earns money

AdvertisingML operates a network of editorial and comparison content properties. We earn compensation when consumers submit lead forms or complete actions on offers from advertisers we work with. Compensation may take the form of per-lead payments, per-call payments, per-approved-application payments, or affiliate commissions.

How this affects what you see

The advertisers we feature, the order in which they appear, and the placement of offers on our properties may be influenced by the compensation we receive. We disclose this relationship in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides and the FTC's "Disclosures 101" guidance for social media influencers and online publishers, as well as broader FTC unfair-and-deceptive-practices rules.

Editorial independence

While compensation influences which advertisers appear, editorial content on our properties is produced independently of advertiser influence. We do not allow advertisers to dictate the content of editorial pages, reviews, or comparisons. Where an editorial recommendation or rating is made, it reflects the editorial team's judgment, not the advertiser's preferences.

Where disclosures appear

Advertising disclosures appear:

• In the footer of every page on our properties;
• At the top of comparison and "best of" content where compensation may influence ordering;
• Inline near any specific call-to-action that triggers an advertiser-routed action.

Sample disclosure language

The disclosure language we use is functionally similar to the following:

"AdvertisingML is compensated by the advertisers featured on this page. Compensation may influence which products or services are featured, and in what order. We may receive compensation when you click a link or submit a form. This does not affect the editorial content of our reviews or comparisons."

Exact wording is versioned and may be tailored to the specific page and vertical.

Affiliate programs we participate in

AdvertisingML participates in affiliate programs and lead-distribution arrangements with the categories of advertisers listed at /partners. The specific named programs vary by vertical and over time.

What we do not do

• We do not present advertiser content as independent editorial content;
• We do not promote products or services without an underlying compensation disclosure;
• We do not falsify reviews, ratings, or testimonials;
• We do not use deceptive comparison tactics designed to inflate the apparent value of a featured offer.
